The personal, professional, medical, financial, and lifestyle information being collected, as well as records of meetings and phone calls, general correspondence and any instructions you provide to our office, will be maintained in paper and/or electronic format in a client file adhering to the Privacy Policy in place at Currey Insurance Agencies Inc. This information will be used to comply with all regulatory legislation and to assess your financial situation, offer products and services that may be of interest and benefit to you and to provide ongoing client service including:

  • Access to files for business review and valuation.
  • Assessing or transferring files.
  • Act as required by law including anti-money laundering.
  • Communicate with you.
  • Detect and prevent fraud.
  • Disclosure of files to Federal & Provincial regulatory bodies for auditing requests
  • If a spouse exists, permission to co-mingle and discuss your file with your spouse as requested.
  • Provide to outside audit and compliance review to periodically assess practice as per regulatory guidelines.
  • Providing a quote.
  • Service your policies as per your request.

If requested by you, additional personal documents such as copies of insurance policies, wills and powers of attorney may be kept in your client file. All employees and brokers are aware of our privacy policy and hold your information confidential.

We shall protect personal information with safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information.

Principle 8 — Openness Concerning Policies and Practices

We shall make readily available to clients specific information about our policies and practices relating to the management of personal information.

Principle 9 — Consumer Access to Personal Information

Upon request, we shall inform a client of the existence, use and disclosure of his or her personal information and shall give the individual access to that information.

Principle 10 — Challenging Compliance

A client shall be able to address a challenge concerning compliance with the above principles to the designated accountable person or persons in our office.
